Here is the final presentation of the doll arms and legs I cast in glass. Originally I wanted to make little hospital stretchers for them but I ended up leaning away from the rescue and trauma theme and more towards their message about what we value and find precious. Hence the jewellery boxes which I found in local junk shops and reconditioned. A most interesting task! I learned a lot about how these little boxes are put together as I had to take out and replace their insides, fitting mirrors and new padded bases covered in fabric. I like the combination of new materials with the old, worn boxes and the mirrors really make the glass pieces look wonderful as you can see them from 2 sides.
