Half-Breed comics – Another autobiographical ‘tail’

An autobiographical short-story I’ll be exhibiting in a larger hard-cover format for the Co/Mix 2011 exhibition. The comic forms part of a series and deals with collective identity and remembering. Half-breed was a nickname given to me while attending primary school in Pretoria. The city itself is home to a large community of first and second generation Mediterranean-European families. My father being Spanish and my mother being Italian, the name was given to me by a group of Greek kids who viewed the mixture as an abomination. Limited edition copies of Half-Breed will be sold at the Co/Mix 2011 merchandise store.
